The waiter was a little inattentive but the food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The shrimp tacos with the mango salsa were amazing!

El Taps is my favorite Mexican in Sikeston. They have been in Sikeston for over 30 years and even though they moved locations, it still smells the same when you walk in! I know that Sikeston has a little Mexican food scene going on here and you can pick and choose your favorite, but where did it start? El Tapatio.

Surprisingly nice Mexican restaurant in Sikeston, Missouri off of I-55 & I-57. Character in the decor and very large serving sizes. Attentive wait staff as well. Visited on a Friday early evening and they had a steady flow of customers. The only reasons didn't receive 5 stars was lack of flavor in several of the entree items. My table ordered Pick-3 combos and the Tapatio Bowl. The mini burrito had nothing inside it except ground beef (no cheese/beans/etc...) and the flautas were bland and a bit burnt tasting. However, this was the best cheese quesadilla I have ever had! Also, complimentary chips & salsa, huge drinks, and they had fried ice cream!! Would return...

Decided to stop for dinner as we were on our way down from IL to see our family in TX. We're always hungry for good, authentic Mexican food as we head south and this hit the spot exactly. Very quick and so delicious! I had the combo - chicken flautas & tacos - and my husband had a chimichanga with beef. Everything was well & simply seasoned. The chips & salsa were tasty, the salsa was fresh and made in house. $19 all in all. We'd stop in again!

Staff was nice and attentive. Meal was good, Salsa had a nice flavor, but chips were stale. I ordered the fajita Feliz beef.
